The Wednesday challenge was similar to last week's challenge. From what the winner's have, teams have to make a prototype of the product. John, Jess, Matty, and I used a blue straw, paper, and a tape to put the materials together. However, Our product would not fly when we threw it in the air. Each teams had to present the estimated cost and time of the product front of the judges.

Rest of the teams continued to present their products and the judges scored them. We have to work on the Wednesday challenge form and the website for Mr. Miller to grade them. I have not finished working with my car.

Febuary 3, 2017

We heard an update from the robotics how the progress is going. They had finished the model of what they will be building. I uploaded a picture of our protype on the website for grade.

Febuary 6, 2017

It's raining today. Mr. Miller finished grading our websites over the weekends. There are still number of people who did not give the website address to him. My cars were falling apart especially the part where it holds the wheels. I had to put an another piece of cardboard to support it.

Febuary 7, 2017

Everyone continued working on the car. However, my car was off the measurements and would not fit into the box that measured the maximum volume of it. I had to trim off the sides and the top part of it. It was difficult to cut since the glue already hardened to the carboards and the box cutters couldn't cut the place where I needed to cut.

Last week winner's toy was not able to be processed because we are not allowed to have flying objects in the place. Matty came up with another challenge which we had to make a fidget toy that is agian cool, fun and has 589 somewhere on it. Jess, John and I decided to make a slime and put it into a waterballoon using a funnel. It will create a squish stress ball out of it with 589 on the balloon. Like previously, we presented it to the class and the judges.

People who did not present yesterday presented their fidget toy today. After, we begun our car competition which will be done 3 times. Each person gets 3 tries to test their car and able to fix it after each try. I got 10feet 9inches on my first try. I learned that my car wouldn't go straight down when it was on the rail. I think the weight and the wheels are not equalized symmetrically. It tilts to the left as it rolls down.

The robotics team are moving slow on their schedule according to them. They finished building the chest of the robot and the base of it. It will have its belts and wheels soon. It has more parts that other years which takes more time. The second try for the car test started. Some people still has not raced yet so we have to wait for them. I got about 6 feet which is less than my first try. The car dropped when to the left again. It is hard to tell if the car is starting straight since I am short and not able to see from the top.

Febuary 14, 2017

Our grades were done over the three day break. Mr. Miller and Dr. Neat are disappointed on how some of us are not doing well and failing the class. I forgot to update my website using filezilla before it got graded. I don't know why my websites during the week of 1/21 is marked as 0 beacause I had all the entries and the wc challenge forms needed.

Febuary 15, 2017

The whole class was divided into two teams for the Wednesday Challenge. The challenge was to throw a tube to the person next to you only using your right hand. The point of this challenge was to use teamwork. The tube will be passed around people in a circle and the fastest team to complete all the task wins. Tyler's team, which is the team that I am assigned to, won this week's challenge. We had a leader who was able to lead us properly to finish the task quick and eveyrone cooperated well.

Dr. Neat and Mr. Miller continued to talke wih individual students about the websites. We started on the third race today for the cars. My third try ended up with the score of 8feet. It's better than the second try but still worse than my first. The scores will be averaged for the final score. I solved my grade problem also.

Febuary 17, 2017

The robot for the competiton is pretty much done. We are assigned to work on the website and the requirements. The websites will be graded by Dr. Neat over the weekend. The car race scores are now averaged it is on Mr.Miller's website for students to check. My average score is 102inches.

Car Race Scores

Even though today is Tuesday, we had the robotics progress presented by them. One of their main design is to focus on the fuel getting into the boiller. They are deciding if they should aim the top goal or the bottom goal. The top goal gives 1pt for three balls, the bottom gives a point for nine balls. The robot is able to put the gear where it needs to be and dump the balls into the bottom goal. Then, we the people who got the best

I was at the field trip yesterday for french. The whole french class went to TAIX, which is a french restaurant. We tried a full course meal with escargo with desserts. I also missed the Wedneseday challenge which was making an A out of a cardboard.

Febuary 23, 2017

The class is continueing with the Wednesday challenge by receving a model from a different team. Raul is my partner because I was absent yesterday. We received the model late and were not able to finish it on time.

Febuary 24, 2017

Dr. Neat showed us a NASA video about finding a new planet like Earth. The judges had claimed the winners of the letter A challenge. My partner and I did not get any score since we couldn't finish the letter A. The class continued on the Wednesday challenge form for the website. I added the form to the website.

A WC

Febuary 27, 2017

We have been informed that the websites will be gradedthis week. The website must include the wc form for tube toss and pictures, daily entries, wc form for letter A and its pictures. Then, those people who have made up to 100 inches average for the car test was invited to start on the next challenge. The design of the model of a car is provided with a sketch up design, wheels will be fabricated.

Febuary 28, 2017

People who have not been able to pass 100 inches goal would have to revise their cars. I moved onto the sketchup car and measured all the measurements to make out from the cardboard. First, I started with the base that will be the body.
